The Parenting Alliance provides a variety of consultation, coordination and clinical services to parents and children suffering from high conflict following separation or divorce. The program relies on a parallel parenting model to orient parents to a new, more functional interaction. This approach helps avoid conflict whenever possible and disengages parents from the adversarial legal system. An intensive beginning phase builds structures and protocols that lead to a co-parenting plan or parenting pact. A middle phase monitors and adjusts the plan as needed. The final phase pro-actively anticipates areas that may result in future dispute and celebrates successful change.
